I enjoyed this historical novel immensely and I always look forward to Oscar Patton's next book. It is a captivating story about a country doctor in South Georgia during the Spanish Flu Epidemic. Dr. Lott questions his faith and falls in love during this troubled time. The result is a wonderfully moving tale. I want to read more about Dr. Lott and his interesting experiences! Even though I was born and raised in the "real" Satilla County, I didn't realize how big an impact this sickness had on our area. Looking forward to the next Satilla County novel!Product details

This is a great read! The characters are real enough to the point where it is difficult to stop reading the book. I know much of south Georgia and its people. The book is true to form. Well worth reading.
